Hi all, my 3 month old is usually a perfect baby, but lately he's been really unsettled, crying, dribbling (which he has never done before) wants to chew on everything and won't nap for longer than 10 mins unless he's being held. I can see teeth in his gums... And a part of me thinks he's teething... When did your child start teething & what were the signs???

When did your child start teething & what were the signs??

The only sign I had of my daughter teething was that a tooth popped up! She was 5 1/2 months old, and has been a big dribble machine since about 3 months old, but she had no red cheeks, no unsettledness (is that a word? Haha) and no temperature or anything at all to suggest a tooth was on its way up!

I swear my DD is teething. Red cheeks, bites ob things and drools like crazy. No teeth yet. She's 13 weeks. Sometimes she gets funny about feeding too and I wonder if it hurts get gums.

I'm also interested in this. My DD is 4 months and she has red cheeks, lots of drool, chews everything and for the last few days has been so unbelievably cranky. I hope it's teething and not something permanent because she never normally cries and it's been pretty constant recently! I can't see or feel any teeth though.

Sounds like he's teething unfortunately quite early poor little hub, but it happens.
I think you can still use bonjela and maybe talk to a pharmacist as what paracetamol is best for your baby.
Drooling is definitely a big red flag, and from what you've mentioned I don't think there's any doubt, could still be a while before a tooth pops.

My DD cut her first tooth at 10mths old. No real issues, i just noticed a lump forming on her bottom gum then i felt the tiny sharp tip of a tooth.
DS is nearly 8mths and his gums are firm at the bottom, but no teeth yet. He's always been a big dribbler, always had rosey cheeks and always wanting things in his mouth to gnaw on so i wouldnt confuse that with teething as its not always the case. Having a god feel around is your best bet!

They can start drooling months before the teeth appear by the way.

Ds cut his first tooth at 3 months but it didn't bother him or show any signs it was coming....it just appeared and the rest followed quickly.......once he hit 6-8 months teething became a problem and the worst thing was the nappy rash....
