DP has ulcerative colitis and has been taking meds and is on the low fodmap diet. So far the diet is helping heaps.

I have mild Chrohns. It is possible to have varying degrees. I can control my symptoms by following a simple diet which includes a minimum of processed foods, dairy and wheat. I also have trouble with beans, pulses and legumes. When I have flare-ups I occasionally have to resort to steroids to bring down the inflammation. Mostly its sufficient for me to I cut back to grilled chicken breast and simple green salads until I feel better. Eating the same stuff day-after-day (while boring) seems to help my digestive system. I wonder if its because it knows what to expect?
