    Default Hoot birthday cake

    DS will be 2 in Sept and I want to make a Hoot cake. I'd love to see any you have made with hints/tips. We are just having a family gathering with 6 kids aged 2-10 any games/activity ideas would be welcome too. I am thinking of making a pinata in a number 2. I was hoping to hire some large toys like climbing/slide etc but can't find anywhere in the area that hires these out so I'm a bit stuck.

    Game ideas: pass the parcel, musical chairs, treasure hunt ( team bigger kids with little ones), piñata's always go down well.
    maybe look into hiring a small jumping castle?

    Thanks for the ideas. I have looked at jumping castles but at $180 for 4hrs it's a bit out of my budget.

    You can buy jumping castles at Kmart and what not for about $150. Then u always have it..

    We bought a jumping castle last year for $199 from Aldi - DS uses it every week and anytime we have family /friends over!

    Hey. I had a "hoot" first birthday or my son. We had lots of orange and blue decorations and I made "hoot Loot" bags. We also had things like shortbread hoot hearts and orange and blue jelly.

    I will try and work out how to post the cake pic in a bit

    I bought a hoot cake topper from a lady off Facebook. I was also going to make these ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1376032037.192856.jpg I saw them on etsy but I never got round to making them.
