My DS, who's 14mo and walking, has always been in the 50th percentile for everything - height, weight, head circumference. He's healthy and normal and we love him no matter what. BUT we're a TALL family and were kind of expecting a tall baby, too.
Does anyone know if he can eventually grow into a higher percentile or is he always going to be in the 50th? I'll ask our GP the next time I go but just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this.

Definitely - some kids grow early and some kids grow later.
It might be, though, by the time he has his big growth spurt you'll no longer be measuring percentiles.

No they can change I'm pretty sure? It's just based on statistics at the end of the day. If they weigh more than average or are taller or smaller than average. They grow at different rates throughout their little lives. My son was always in the 100th percentile for weight, now he's 4 he's in the 50th for height & weight, which is average.
