My name is Eliza and I am currently a Registered Nurse undertaking a Bachelor of Midwifery at ACU. As a requirement to this course I need to follow 20 pregnant women and learn from their experiences as part of a 'continuity of care program'. Being involved in this program provides an opportunity for you to share your pregnancy journey and be supported by a Midwifery student. The aim is to build a professional relationship, discussing your pregnancy and your decisions during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. I also have support from a registered midwife employed by the university. This program promotes privacy and confidentiality at all times and you are able to withdraw from the program at anytime. I am a very passionate and dedicated student who is very keen to learn from your experiences.
