We are currently looking into baby monitors, and wondering if anyone has any recommendations? We have a two story house but the living space is all on the top floor. The only time I’m down stairs is to do the laundry. The baby’s room is right next to ours, at the opposite end of the house to kitchen and lounge. I think a sound monitor will be sufficient, but should we be looking into video, movement and two way talk features as well? And how important is it to have a room thermometer?

Hi! I have an oricom monitor and it's great. No video as I have a small single level house, but excellent range and no static etc.
I love the thermometer function too.
I think mine was about $90-100 online and has been going strong for 2 years. Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy

hi NessieJ, we were given the target video monitor at our baby shower and it has been fantastic! Video and night vision which I didn't think I would use but has been great to check if bubs is waking or just stirring etc. No static and I think it retails for $100 maybe less if you can pick it up on sale! Plays lullabies also which you can turn on and off from the "parents end" of the monitor
