    Default Sharp lower abdominal pain??

    Hey guys,

Last night I started having acute cramps in my lower abdomen. It came on very suddenly and was accompanied by a fever but I also have a cold so I'm not sure if that is related. Haven't had the fever since then though.

I went to the doctors today as the pain has not died down and I had an ultrasound but they only did the ultrasound on my upper abdomen. (Not sure why as I explained all my pain was in my pelvic area)

Sorry for TMI here but AF has just finished (ruling out period pain) and I am having no trouble pooping (went yesterday and today with no trouble and definitely no diarrhoea) and no vomiting or nausea.

The only thing that's relieving the pain is constant heat with a hot water bottle.

Have you ever had anything like this or know what it could be??
I'm worried as I am in quite alot of pain. Thanks in advance

Is there any chance you could be pregnant. Did they check you for appendicitis?

I don't think I could be pregnant as my period just finished.
They didn't check for appendicitis but I thought I'd be in unbearable amounts of pain with that. I am in a fair bit of pain but I am coping ok.

I would prob get a second opinion as appendicitis can present differently and be more subtle until it worsens/ruptures esp if you possibly have a temp etc. did you get anymore follow up instructions etc cos pain is not normal. Hope you are feelin better soon

Is it one one side more than the other?

Last year I had a very strong pain in the lower right side of my abdomen, I had an ultrasound that showed my ovaries and tubes were all clear and what they could see of my appendix looked fine. The dr said I basically had colic and to have clear fluids for 24 hours.

The other thought I had was an ectopic pregnancy?
