    Hello yoghurt makers

Does the use-by date of homemade yoghurt go by what the milk you used was? Or does turning milk (with say 3 days to expire) in to yoghurt, increase it's life??

Such a good question. I've always just assumed that the yogurt is good for 5-7 days regardless. Interested to see what others say.
I'm also curious about the starter yogurt. If I reserve a bit of the yogurt and I make a new batch 5 days after making the original. . is that yogurt still okay?
