We had our first appointment with the Obs yesterday and we got an ultrasound done. It was super exciting (we are first timers) - and made the pregnancy seem so much more real.
Bubs measured 2.9cm and had a heart rate of 167 and obs confirmed I was 9 weeks and 4 days so due date has not changed from 6th April. Have booked in for our 12 week scan for 3 week time and cannot wait to see it again.
Our Obs was so excited too as he was the one who did the surgery on me less than 3 months ago so it seemed to mean so much to him that he had helped us out so much.

Good morning ladies
Just wondering how everyone is going? I have just hit 10 weeks today. I have a Dr's appointment tomorrow afternoon so I am hoping to get a referral for another scan next week before my hubby heads back to WA. My hubby works in the mines and is only home every 2 weeks so makes it hard to organise scans while he is here. Hoping everything is ok with my little bean. Still no symptoms although I think I may have a sinus infection BOO HOO will be asking my Dr about it tomorrow. No bump yet just a kilo or 2 weight gain. Fingers crossed for a good scan next week. Hope you are all doing well

I really really just want to lay down today, have a rotten headache to go along with the daily nausea, but no manager has decided to put in a new kitchen sink and splashback today whilst the gardener trims all the trees.

Just now I've been hit with my first wave of nausea for the morning - I'm so over feeling sick! I know I'd be worried if I wasn't getting it, but I'm soooooo looking forward to the "honeymoon" stage that the second trimester is supposed to be
and now I've just got a really strong craving for spring rolls - weird!

Sorry you ladies aren't feeling too well and FTMumma DH working away that often must suck. Mine goes over to the mines every 3 months roughly for a week and I hate it. Try to be as social as possible and get myself out of the house that week that he's away!!!

Thanks Arlais, Hope you get your spring rolls (mmm yum!) and feel better soon.
I am starting to get the feeling my nausea is going to hang around for the pregnancy, it did with my daughter, with my boys hardly had anything. I am getting the girl feeling!

AstroLaura sounds like your first ob appt went well!
FTmumma congrats on hitting 10 weeks! That's gotta be hard having hubby away so much!
Munchkin859 hope you are well!
RoseBetweentheThorns I hope you get a chance to lie down later!
Arlais I'm hearing you about the 2nd tri! Bring it on! I'm so beyond this feeling sick. My biggest issue is trying to get food down and keep it down. Did you end up telling DHs boys?

As much as I would like to wait, I think I'm going to let DH have his way on this one - but I am definitely going to insist on some conditions! I know DH wants to tell them in person, so that would be this weekend. I will make him wait though until their mother has gone before spilling the beans. I'm also going to ask him to tell the boys that they are being told early, and not to go telling every person they see, because it's our news that we want to be able to tell our friends. I know it won't completely stop them, but if we do hear from someone we haven't told ourselves it can be used as a lesson with them about trust and not interfering in other people's business.

How old are they Arlais? And how do you think they'll take the news??
