Totally normal for newborns to lose up to 10% of birth weight in the first few days, don't worry hun.

Hope you get to go home soon!
I've started the motilium today. She was at 9% weight loss yesterday, then lost another 50g today, so was over the 10%

Bub has been really quiet today. Had a listen on the Doppler and his heart is beating away so I figure he must have changed positions again. He tends to be quieter on weekends I've noticed - maybe because I get more distracted than when I'm at work.

Today's bump. Definitely a baby in there!
That's good you've got the Doppler for reassurance. Your bump looks great.

Bond: yes I would be taking River to the doctor well and truly before 31 days. MIL said longest she had heard was 21 days. I can tell you that the poo after 3 days is bad enough!
The things we do for our children. Hope the hour long Thomas wasn't too painful. Enjoy your dinner out tonight.

Smurfy: The motilium tablets, thats what I am on, plus fenugreek which is a natural product that my ob recommended. Hopefully you can go home tomorrow. I had the same problem but had to use formula to get her weight up. If you think she is still hungry and you have no milk left ask for some formula.

Rainbow: You are looking great. Glad you could listen on the doppler.

AFM: Struggling with this diet today only because I am really craving something sweet and can't find anything. Am so over savory items!

Toni, I hope the diet gets easier. It sucks when you're craving something and aren't allowed to have it.

We're now breast feeding, followed by formula top up, followed by expressing. 3-4 hourly feeds.

Oh I feel your pain Smurfy. That's what we were doing. In hospital they wanted me to attempt 20mins each side to attach (never happened) followed by EBM followed by formula top up then I would express. Took forever and is why I eventually gave up trying to BF.
