Default Did you recover your baby after miscarriage?

    Hi all

I was 9 weeks preg yesterday, all confirmed with 2 ultrasounds and a beating heart. However I had a huge bleed and severe cramps and doc said it was unavoidable that I would miscarry.

Today I was making the bed and felt a bit of a pop. I went to the toilet and quickly wiped and there was my baby. In the sac and beautifully formed. Saw its spine, arms, legs, fingers. Perfect for 9 weeks. I showed dh and we decided to bury. We have just bought land and are almost done building our house. We buried it out our bedroom door, which will be under the deck. I don't know why I chose that spot but wanted it close. I kind of regret it now and wish I had put it in a pot with a special flower or something but anyways.

Has anyone else miscarried & had their baby's body. What did you do with it?

    Sorry for your loss

Could you plant something there or get an engraved tile or something?

    So sorry for your loss

I think the PP is a beautiful suggestion. Perhaps even a little plaque made that you could mount?

I know it's not nearly the same scenario but we lost our beloved dog a few months back. We buried him in our backyard and DH made a gorgeous headstone. I feel like doing that gave us a lot of closure

We buried it under where the deck is being built. Maybe I should dig it up and put it (& all the soil) in a pot. So hard!!

I like where I chose cuz it's by our bedroom but dh seemed freaked out. So I've asked him if he'd prefer to move it. He said he's only worried something will dig it up. But I don't think that will happen so I think we're all good. I'm gonna plant a maple tree in memory.
