That's your opinion but nevertheless it shows that posters immaturity. I think I last heard that saying in primary school!

My first instinct is I would dob them in in a heart beat. But nothing is ever that simple. I would have to be absolutely sure of their circumstances first.

I suspect that its unlikely anyone would be jailed (but they may be, to make an example of) but more likely they would have to repay the debt. Which would no doubt mean selling their house. So if they didn't go to prison, they wouldn't exactly be destitute.

Fraud is a crime, just because its not as brutal as murder etc, its still not ok. I have little tolerance for people rorting the welfare system.

I don't think I would hesitate in telling CL. What if everyone was doing this? What would happen then? There wouldn't be such welfare and benefits in place if that were the case. People who actively cheat CL are stealing. They might not be breaking into a house and running off with the telly but they are cheating the system and stealing money that is not theirs - same outcome.

I've always found it annoying when someone says something a bit mean and then claims it was a joke. Like if it is a joke maybe make it clear when you're making it not after you've made someone feel uncomfortable because they can't figure it out.

But that's just me I don't think it means I can't have a laugh just that I don't like to at the expense of others. This is the same reason I would never just say something to stir the pot or purely to get a reaction from others.

And yep I am probably just a bit sensitive at the moment 😊 so sorry Renesme I did not realise you were joking.
