    Dp was 17.

What was their health/lifestyle like at that time?
Pretty crap! Minimal exercise, so much junk food. Sleeping hrs all over the place. Lots of partying, drinking, smoking (and other stuff!)

DD was a pill baby, dp must of had a strong swimmer & I must of had a good eggy.
we have been trying for no 2 since November last year & not utd yet! We are both so much healthier! So frustrating! Dp is 19 now

    He would have been

    30
    34
Crap diet and same degree of overweight for all three , big drinker for first then social drinker for the other two.
Conceived the first two easily. Last one took quite awhile. Can't say if dh age was a contributing factoring or not but considering my own factors I'd say was prob me not him.

Wow thanks peeps. I wasn't expecting so many replies.
To me it looks like, and if you've read all the replies, that it all really comes down to pot luck!!
If only there was a special recipe like "Do/Be this and you shall get pregnant"
This whole thing would be a breeze & a little less draining!

It took about 6-7 months to fall pregnant, and my Dp is a pack a day smoker. So truly just relax and see how you go. We will be having a second baby eventually and he will be 45 in less than a month

I was 38 and DH 41 when we conceived the first time (miscarriage). Then we were 39 and 42, then 41 and 44, when our daughters were conceived. We got UTD first try each time. No age problems here lol

DH was 27/28 when we conceived (it was around his birthday lol) and I was 22 (23 when DS was born) he was a heavy smoker and drank a fair amount. He quit smoking 3 months before DS was born. Now we are TTC #2 he is 30 (will be 31 next weekend) and I am 25. He is still a non smoker. Drinks most nights (never to excess) and is a bit heavier but not overweight. Drinks coffee like it is going out of fashion (me too) we are on cycle #5 now.

    Implications?
