    MBO - well done for getting back on the horse! Not really low fat, but my fav snacks atm are homemade cashew butter on a cut up apple or hummus on a boiled egg. I've also been making strawberry 'ice-cream' - just frozen strawbs blended with a little honey & greek yoghurt

    For those using myfitnesspal or any just calorie counting, how many calories are you eating per day? And if you are breastfeeding how many calories do you think that would be? Since Monday I've been aiming for 1400 cal and allowing 400 cal for breast feeding. Does that sound about right?

    MBO, everyone is different with the amount of calories they need.
    I am exclusively breastfeeding my 7 week old baby, and am allowing myself 1500 calories per day. I find that most days I struggle to reach my calorie allowance, as I am eating healthy good options that are low in calories. I am losing about 500g per week, so very much a healthy slow weight loss.
    My milk supply is still great, so this number works for me.

    I suggest that you start somewhere around 1800 calories a day, and see how you go over a few weeks. Then just adjust accordingly.

    Hi everyone! How was your weekend? How are you going with it all?

    MrsL after your 700g lost within a week how did you find next weeks loss? Did you maintain or loose a small amount or were you able to have another big lose?

    AFM- weighed in today and lost 1.2kgs. I'm back baby! Aiming for another 3 kg by this time next month, hopefully that's do able!

    Thanks Mia. I think I've found my right number of calories too. I find if I eat too little I don't loose anything, too much and I gain. It's a fine balance isn't it! Yes and also trying to keep a healthy supply that's the most important thing for me

    Well we went away last week & the good eating plan went out the window so I haven't weighed myself!
    Getting back into it today so ill weigh in again at the end of the week!

    Is anyone here using my fitness pal? How many calories do you allow for breastfeeding? So confusing! Also do you add housework? I figure every calorie counts!

    Finally stepped on the scales after a few weeks 1.5kg down yay so close to my goal
    Made me realise eating healthy most of the time and sticking to my calories is worth it
    Can't wait to be able to start exercising again
