Thanks ladies Glad I asked here! My son took the bird in for her this morning, she was very sweet and appreciative and told my son she would never forget him.

If anything, she is really thankful that you and your son have made time for her. I work in an aged care facility and many of my residents dont get visitors until its their time to pass on and they dont realise as they are either zoned out on morphine or sleeping.

As a nurse who has worked in aged care and palliative care I think it's incredibly sweet of your son to do this and to think of her. I know it would absolutely make her day and hopefully encourage your son to continue being so sweet to others.
You should feel proud, he is a gem

I'm so glad you did it! You've shown your son that it's ok to do something nice for other people! Hopefully he'll keep doing things like that =)
