We are looking into our options re local adoption and we live in NSW. Anyone have feedback on which organisation is quicker/easier??
I am looking at
- NSW Family & Community Services (Govt)
- Catholic Care
International adoption we would only look at Thailand but that seems 4 years...

the process for intercountry adoption via FACS is quite involved and lengthy. I don't have any experience with the other agencies you listed though.
Wishing you the best for your adoption journey

My partner and I enquired into overseas adoption and took a different road as it seemed like a long and costly process for us.
We then did the Merymead course for foster care which gives you a number of care options. I know of someone that did the course, has full time care of a little girl that she has now adopted as the child's only next of kin knew she was terminally ill. Unfortunately for us couples need to have been in a relationship a minimum time which we had not met yet at the time.
Just another option to consider that may give you the end result you are looking for.
Best of luck in your journey.

We went with CatholicCare in Victoria and they were amazing. Fast, professional and lovely case workers. They also didn't seem short staffed which I think some often can be.
All the best.

Thanks for your success stories. I am unsure about a few things I hope someone can help me out.. I am a bit worried that most agencies want to push openness with the birth parents and I am not sure how I feel about that. I wouldn't mind sending info etc but I don't want them to be able to see them etc. also I am confused about the rules around stopping fertility treatment. Can you apply whilst still doing ivf but once they accept your application you have to stop?
Also I run my own business and my husband is quite high up in his field and cannot commit to a year off work... I know that sounds selfish but I was planning 6 months and then juggling working part time and from home etc an I am worried this will affect our chances.
