Default Pain after childbirth (maybe TMI)

Just wondering if it is possible/normal to still have perineal pain nine months after giving birth? I only had a small tear and the stitches healed fine but I still get sharp shooting pains, and at the moment it is a chronic kind of ache. Could AF be causing it to flare up?

I've had stitches twice after births, and no, I've never had any pain at all after the initial healing phase, it might be worth getting it checked out.

Are you saying you have pain where your stitches are? You should probably get that checked. I had no pain at all where my stitches were. But my mother, when sewn up after childbirth, they accidentally sewed it wrong and she had to have it redone months later.

To be honest I don't know where my stitches were cos I was under when they sewed me up. Also, I'm not 100% sure it's perineal pain, but I did some reading and it seems likely. It's just pain. But I thought nine months later seemed a bit much so I'll get it checked out. Thanks :-)
