    At my school we have a Konar (Connor). New staff always pronounce it like it's spelled. Poor kid.

    Eww, yes it reads Ko-nar to rhyme with sonar !
    Why can't people leave traditional spelling alone !!

    Wow! What an offensive thread. There's a lot of names I don't like, but I'm not saying "oh that's so horrible." You need to remember there might be people on here who've named their children some of these!

    It's all in good fun! It's not all bad; some names people thought were horrible have been explained as traditional in a certain ethnicity / language.

    of course this thread is bound to offend a few people but I think everyone realises it's in jest? it's a bit of fun.

    my ds has an unusual/uncommon name that I'm sure is not everyone's cuppa but that's ok. I don't get offended. I just think how pedestrian they must be to not appreciate such a nice strong biblical boys name ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜˜
