I tend to agree to an extent. I also watched a program on simular as well as the do's and don't s when baby wakes through the night a few weeks ago and think what the phychologists were saying made sense and it states the same things in my sleep guide. I'm not a fan of co-sleeping. I don't mind the boys coming into our bed for cuddles in the morning once they have woken, actually love nothing more but they have their own room and own beds and that is where they will sleep, we have never allowed them to come into our bed through the night, if they have they are put straight back to their own beds, they soon stop doing it once they get the picture. Our room is mine and DH's domain, we need our space and intimacy which wouldn't happen with the kids in the same bed. Whatever anyone else chooses to do is up to them though!
