as a parent myself, i understand your frustration but from a childcare worker pov i think 24hr childcare is a great idea provided centres provided better security features for the centres and the centre isnt abused by people who just want an overnight babysitter. I hope you find care that you need.

ps. have you thought about advertising for a uni student etc? lots of people i know studing for teaching roles work for in the childcare industry until they are qualified. maybe you could do a babysitter type arrangement?

Hugs, i remember we both first started our sons at the daycare at around the same time. Mine went to family daycare but unfortunately i pulled him out because he did not settle and the lady turned out not so great. He is starting childcare soon again and I am getting really nervous . It is hard isnt it. Hope everything will turn out well with you and I wish you the best!~

The Idea on an au pair is ok but I do like him to be around other kids too. I don't have many friends with kids so I think it's good for him to mix.

Yeh my son still cries to be left where he is too. He has been there 4 months so I thought he should have been happier by now.

I wish I could just get an afternoon evening job too.. But where I am it's nice money which I don't think I will be able to match anywhere else.
I did put a hint out to work yesterday that I'm keen to get off the roster. See how far that goes. Would mean different job but in same company so may be an idea.

    Hardddddd
