    I'd say more than a bit crap. The side effects are well known and I recall being given a lot of literature to read on it. Also I thought it was a dermatolgist only medication and a GP can't actually prescribe it, only refer you to a specialist.

    I believe it entirely depends on the individual. I have tried almost everything available, with the next step being LED therapy or PDT with ALA.

    I started on tetracyclines at 11, yes 11!!! I've dealt with acne now for 16 years. It's horrible and has caused social anxiety. I haven't been as happy with my appearance since I stopped Roaccutane.

    I would not hesitate to put my own children on this medication if they suffered to the extent I do.

    Eta-I can't sleep on my back at times because it's painful and covered in cystic acne, it's not just my face.
