Are there waiting periods when quitting casual work to receive newstart alowance????

There used to be a 6 week period but I'm not sure now.

If you have voluntarily quit there is usually a waiting period, though when my hours dropped I had to go back to centre link because I wasn't getting paid enough to survive on.
