I spent $450 at the sales this year - birthday and Christmas presents for my DS, Christmas presents for belly babe, a birthday and Christmas present for my niece, and a birthday present for my nephew. I still want to get DS a few dinosaurs for Christmas which I will pick up later in the year (I couldn't find anything that I liked at the sales).

DS is getting two things for his birthday - a table and chairs, and a wooden train set, and two things for Christmas - a medical kit, and dinosaurs. He will also be getting an LOL Elmo from the new baby in September. Bubba is getting a taggie and some touch and feel books for Christmas. We're definitely not going crazy.

About $100. I got the fur real monkey, the tinker bell that flys and a reptile insect habitat with a insect catcher from target.

I didn't want to go over board this year. I laybuyed those items because they were on a good special.

I love the book depository - this is a silly question but you can't view pages of the books on there can you? I like to know how many words etc are on a page first!
No you can't, I would love it of I could! 😥

I did the toy sale once...and I regretted it! I shop for xmas stuff last minute (in the last week) and the specials are way better plus my kids change their minds...by the time xmas comes the things they want in July are old lol

I spent about $120 at Target and $200 at Big W.
We got DS1 the Octopod from Octonauts as he's been wanting it for aaaaaaages, a robosapien and a Mr Potato Head set. DS2 is getting a programmable Leapster dog thingy, a ride on/walker train, and a zebra ride on/bouncer thingy.

I probably went overboard if I'm honest but I felt a little guilty because we won't have any family around this year to make a big day of it so I wanted to make it a bit more special.
Probably could have done that without the consumerism but you know what? Stuff it. That would take planning and forethought and I'm not too great at that haha.
