Default who pays if the automatic garage door is not working in a rental property?

we found out our automatic garage door was not working this morning. We did nothing wrong, it was working yesterday. So in this case who would be responsible for repairing it? Thanks ~

It would be the landlord. Someone will have to come our to see what the problem is and go from there.

Definitely the landlord. It would be the same as the hot water system or dishwasher stopped working.

check the battery on the remote, It could be a simple fix, before contacting the landlord. a battery could be your responsiblity. Marie.

Yeh I suppose it depends when someone comes out to look at it. If there is a dent in it then you but just mechanical the landlord

thanks everyone, strangely garage door started working again this evening, which is good. Before that even the control bottom inside the garage was not working, so we thought it might not be the battery issue. Glad that it is working again ~

Some are hard wired. But mine in particular is battery operated... But it's fixed to the wall!
