Hi ladies, not sure if this is the best place to post this or not but need help with something I have thought of..
I have had a few issues with doctors and scan in regards to my due dates and how many babies I am having. Long story short 2 weeks ago I had my first scan in which I was told my due date was Janurary 22nd with twins. This past Tuesday I had another scan with a due date of Feburary 4th with one baby.
Even though I have had some great support from some of ladies on here I have been racking my brain over this.
Please don't laugh as I have never had twins but here's my question:
In regards to ident ethical twins or any twins could there be a possibility that the original sonographer did see 2 sac's and now they have joined somehow into one? There that would mean I am expecting identical twins?
Sorry if this seems like a stupid question bit I am trying to think of all possibilities before I see my gp tomorrow.

We were initially having twins with this pregnancy with 2 yolk sacs present but one of the babies didn't make it and we now are just expecting a baby girl. It turns out that something like 80% (don't quote that exact number) of pregnancies start as twins or more and then end up being a single baby. It just depends how early you have your initial scan.....hope this helps and all the best.

I'd be inclined to go off what the later scan says.
Google Vanishing Twin Syndrome, you should get more information from that.

Probably more likely that the one of the sonographers has made a mistake or that one of the egg sacs has not made it. I'd be off for another scan if I were you.
