My name is Larissa and I am studying midwifery at UQ in brisbane. As part of my degree we are required to follow the pregnancies of 20 women to learn about the benefits of continuity of care (COC) in midwifery practice and the development of supportive relationships between midwives and the women they are looking after.
My role in your pregnancy would be to attend approximately 5 antenatal appointments, the birth if your were comfortable, as well as 2 postnatal visits. It is a completely confidential program and I would be an extra professional support network on top of your qualified midwife and pregnancy care providers.
So far I have followed the pregnancy journeys of three wonderful women. Each experience has been entirely individual and very positive for both me and the families involved.
If this is something you, or someone you know would be interested in and benefit from please email me: email@example.com
I would love to answer any questions you may have about the program.
Hoping to hear from you soon,
