I plan on getting Expedit for storage in the nursery (when I finally get pg). I like how you can get the drawer & cupboard inserts. There's also this website www.panyl.com that sells coloured panels to customise Ikea furniture (incl. expedit), so you can make the drawers & cupboard doors different colours to match other furniture.

If you do a Google image search for Expedit, you'll get heaps of hits. Also try Ikeahackers - people post pics of different Ikea furniture they've modified.

I have about $4000 worth of Ikea furniture stored in my Ikea online shopping list. When I'm ready to buy I'll just email to my nearest Ikea & go pick it up... although may need a couple of trips to get it all

In Melb they only deliver within 100k but we are 3+ hours away so while down there for a few days we had a lovely shop at Ikea. Barely room in the car for us coming home though :-) We have the big 4x4 expedit in our lounge room. Excuse the mess, I still haven't set up totally the way I want yet. Yep. I'm totally stealing that idea too... not sure where it will go though (maybe the family room?)

FL, did you make the cushions?

Necessity is the mother of invention! The couch we had there fell apart, and we needed extra toy storage for our ever growing octonaut collection. Cheaper than buying a whole new couch!
