I'm such a bad cook. I burn toast.
In the past I have bought pre made plain cupcakes from Coles, Betty Crocker icing and those tiny little sugar flowers. They looked amazing. Took me longer to buy the stuff then make them.

Yes definitely going with Betty Crocker lol it's my go too because they taste soo good and I always get a lot of compliments on them. Trying to think of something creative but easy to decorate them. I've been googling easy mermaid cupcakes but alas no luck.

I've made Cookie monster cupcakes which looked pretty good and were way easy. I just coloured some dessicated coconut in blue food colouring and then rolled the iced cupcakes in it, cut a slit into each one and inserted half a cookie, then used writing chocolate to put dots on white choc buttons and stuck them on as eyes.

Be warned ... you may poo blue

Oh! I've also done owl cupcakes. Similar thing ...

Roll iced cupcakes in crushed up chocolate flakes
Use the same writing chocolate and white choc buttons for eyes
I used flaked almonds for the feet, but you could use whatever you like
I used mini marshmallows chopped into triangles for the beak, but again, use whatever you like
Halved m&ms for ears ... DONE!

    They tasted great too!

I make boring cupcakes look fancy, just by ensuring I have heaps of icing, and use a piping bag to make decorative swirls with the icing on top. If you also use nice cupcake cases they look amazing.
