Disgusting. I am appalled at how our PM is treated on a regular basis. You don't have to agree with her politics but she deserves to be treated with respect and decency.

Disgusting behaviour It was bad enough when you had kids throwing sandwiches at her but now it's grown men acting completely inappropriately and asking absurd questions about her private life! How embarrassing that this is the way a PM is treated (I don't like or agree with how she came into power or with a lot of her policies - but wow, this is going too far)!

You know, during the US election last year I was having a loltastic time. It was hilarious as the drama unfolded.

Now that it's our turn and, lets face it, we've got our own Mitt Romney and crazy media people disrespecting the PM for pretty much every reason but her policies, and it's not as funny.

    It's depressing and really disturbing.

So I cant say I know much about politics, but I was raised by people who thought the PM was not only the leader of Australia, but also our representative to the rest of the world and the closest thing to the "embodiment"(for lack of a better word) of Australia. It makes me very sad that people treat such a representative in this way.

I understand disagreeing with someone based on their policies/any negative affect theyve had on the Australian people, but its dragging some poor womans partner through it all now for no other reason than they want a cheap laugh and I find it deeply disturbing that Australia has gone such a way that the host thought he'd get one.

The rest of the world probably considers us a joke. And I honestly cant blame them if they do. A sad and pitiful joke.

Her position aside, any human being deserves more respect than was shown to her in that interview.

How incredibly insulting and disrespectful to not only Ms Gillard personally, but to our country that a member of the media would treat her that way.

i do not really like Julia Gillard that much, but I thought she handled the situation with class.

Just so sad that she had to.
