This is going round in circles lol and everyone is enjoying going off at me for having an opinion and ring pro lib.
This thread needs to be changed and labeled pro labour thread. Any lib supporters will get abused! Bahahahaha
    Cyas!

This is where you insinuate that low income earners aren't striving to betyer themselves:

I'm just a middle income family tired of being slaughtered. We pay tax through the roof yet bills continually go up, bringing in the carbon tax and everything is even more expensive as companies pass it on. Some get help if ur lower income. Lucky them.
We would like another baby but they wiped the baby bonus so I have to go back to work. I'm 31. I wanted my kids close together but apparently Woking my **** off for 15years paying my taxes and I don't get help. I have health insurance that cost an arm and a leg and am getting less and less back from Medicare as that's on the way out unless ur low income or unemployed.
Forgive me if I know how this government affects me and my family and don't give a crap about a dinner menu or who the hell said what.
I didn't bother covering all examples but I can copy 'news' or utube videos. I don't personally believe what I read and see cropped on the news I just see how it affects me and the people around me.
Unemployment at an all time low? I know so many people being laid off and having trouble finding work. A lot of that is because of the mining tax etc. I have been searching for work in the biomedical science field, wages are about 50% to what they were 3 years ago and rare to find. It's already hard enough to live on the wage they were offering but being research and mostly relying on government finding which was slashed to help being their budget to surplus. When I went on ML I know of 15people in my building alone that lost jobs due to government funding cuts. U know cause medical research isn't important anymore!

also know a lot of people having their home repossessed due to not meeting mortgage repayments as interest rates are now low but they weren't for a while. I was lucky I fixed my interest rate when labour entered leadership.

But I will return to work and put my kids in day care for someone else to raise because I have no choice and work my **** off to pay a debt this government created.

    Yep it's awesome!
If you want another baby, can you not apply for government paid parental leave? I'm the same age as you and that's what I'm on with baby #2.
Things like power etc actually went up before the carbon tax. And what do you mean, Medicare is on the way out??
You might know people who are out of work. That doesn't change the national unemployment figures being low.
Cuts to research? I think that may be specific to your area? Or perhaps you're unaware- I just recently read this article:

    http://www.brw.com.au/p/business/med...si3lwW26ItusxH

In case you don't click the link here are two interesting points from it-

    "
    • Funding for health and medical research, through the NHMRC’s Medical Research Endowment Account, increased from $689.3 million in 2012-13 to $771.2 million in 2013-14, and forecast to increase to $859.9 million in 2014-15.

    • An extra $1.3 million in research funding, comprising $700,000 for clinical trials reform and $600,000 to fund research for a rheumatic fever vaccine."

Also if you don't give a crap about the menu, why enter this thread? The title says its about the menu?!

Thanks Redlips, I was just about to comment on that insinuation, which I found offensive.

I've been following this thread from the start. I said it before and I'll say it again.

This thread began as a chance to discuss the sexist language that was used in the menu, regardless of whomever saw or didn't see it, and to reflect on how shameful it is that even our Prime Minister is subject to this sort of sexual harassment.

It has been a range of pro-Liberal posters who have consistently shifted this thread into a partisan political debate, which you can go back and observe started on Page 1 if you don't believe me. Then these posters are getting frustrated when people respond and engage in the debate!

For crying out loud, this disgusting menu was tacitly condoned by a number of males in leadership by their sheer lack of serious response! That is what this thread was originally about. I am so surprised that *in this context* there is any opinion other than it is a disgraceful turn of events, regardless of who you support politically.

With respect, you have been the aggressive one in every single one of your posts. I could care less whether you vote or support the libs, your choice. But some of your comments have been a bit controversial, surely you expected someone might disagree?

It's a shame this thread is going down this track.....

Exactly, if you bring it up expect people to discuss it.
