Default Does Acupuncture really help with IVF?

    Hi all !

I have been doing some reading and it seems that studies are now proving that acupuncture helps with IVF treatment (and conception generally). Has anyone tried it or read anything they can share? It's expensive so not sure whether committing to 2 appointments every week at $75 a pop for 3-6mths (as recommended) is really a good idea. Has anyone done it for a shorter period?

Any info would be helpful! TIA!

That's true, I'll look into it now. Not sure if the premiums would outweigh the acupuncture costs and what you get back etc. I shall investigate! Thanks!

I think Good acupuncture is worth it. My first therapist we did 2 cycles that didn't stick but I never really felt like she knew what she was doing. My current guy is amazing and we got our sticky on or first cycle with him. Went for about a month before transfer.

That's fantastic! Congratulations! Can I ask where abouts you are located? NSW by any chance? If so who did you go to?

I go to acupunture in Windsor NSW I started a month before IVF and continued without the first round and am currently 6 weeks pregnant. I was going once a week and now I go once a fortnight. It's $85 for one hr and I got $39 off from my health fund.

It worked for me but I was very open to letting it work

Yeah I'm in nsw, but up in Newcastle. I used Patrick Wong. The other good one up here is Joelene azzopardi.

Thanks for the info. I read that it can be good to do before egg pick up because they can help with the blood flow to ovaries and in turn help with the quality and quantity of mature eggs.
