I think you might be, you lucky thing! Whereabouts in NY are you?
I visited last December with my daughter for 8 days and we loved it, planning to return with our whole family this Christmas.

I'd love to live in NYC. I absolutely loved it when I visited! So no help to you sorry but just had to say that I'm so very jealous of you right now!! I went two years ago and all my photos are currently popping up in my Facebook memories and making me desperately wish I was there again!

Hey Mod! Thank you, we live in Manhattan on the upper side, so it's quieter but still not far from the city. Our expat plan usually only for 2 year at the most, this is our 4th summer and still loving it let me know if you need any info
I have Instagram PM me if you're interested.

PS are they any old members that still active? The only member that I still keep in touch is the gorgeous and hilarious kevinbudgie, last time I saw her she had dinner at my place in Sydney.

Nice! How long has she been in NY for? We love Manhattan. We thought about moving further like Westchester but we couldn't move to different place. We have water view and DS school is only one block away I don't think we'd find a better place than here lol.

She moved there in 1994 for 3 months of work came back home then went back for good. She was on the upper east side but then moved to 14th/5th, then down to laight st which is south of canal then Hudson after that. But life circumstances saw her to move to east Hampton permanently in 2008 she a a child the year after that. Deep down she is a city chick, EH is beautiful but to me it's so slow and the fast paced environment suits her better. I'm trying to convince her to move back to the city now with her DS is tow as she has a lot of great friends there which really are family to her and us aswell as we know them to after many trips to see them
