My 4 week old little girl is sleeping peacefully (thank God! ) however I've just heard the tell tale noise of a poop...
Should I change her - which would wake her up - or just leave her to sleep and change her when she wakes up?
She has some nasty little bumps on her bottom, which I don't want to get any worse...

I would change her, I'm always the first to say never wake a sleeping baby but I couldn't leave them in a dirty nappy

I agree- change her. You never know- of she is in deep enough sleep she may not wake?

I would change her...Im all for not waking a sleeping baby especially when they look so beautifully peaceful lol but I couldnt knowingly leave them in a pooey nappy.
I know how you feel though, DS has done that a few times without us knowing (middle of the night) and woken up crying anyway.

How long has she been asleep for and is she a good sleeper? I would probably wait a while and see if she wakes up if not I would wake after 20mins or so?

No she's not a good sleeper - she was 6 weeks premie, so usually wakes for a feed at least every 2 hours...
I'll change her. Thanks.

I have managed to change one of the kids without them waking, no idea how lol.
But yes, I would change her also.

I would have left her. I assume at that age it's just breast milk she's on which makes fairly innocuous poo.
