    Default food donations?

So I have a whole shelf of canned goods all still well within there use by and best before dates aswell as some nut and dried fruit mixes etc. I have no use for them and on Friday decided insteadve throwing it all out ( what a freaking waste) id call vinnies or salvos and see if they accept food donations and I was flat out told no!

So I guess my question is does anyone know another organisation etc who would take food donations? Id rather it go to helping others out who need a little help then throwing it out

    The stuff includes
    *10 cans spaghetti
    *10 cans baked beans
    *6 cans of various fruits
    *3 cans beetroot
    *2 cans corn
    * 1 can baby carrots
    *2 packets dried prunes
*2 packets of mix nut mix
    *4 cans of creamed rice

So as you can see a fair bit so is not a small donation by any means

    Ideas?

Do you have a women's shelter or youth off the streets organisation or similar near by?
Otherwise maybe a daycare centre or similar could just use them for kids lunches? Except the nuts of course!

Its going to sound siloy but tbh I have no idea, the only places that came to mind for me we're vinnies and salvos.

But I def will look into the refuges ets and the other organistations mentioned and then tackle daycares.

I just really don't see the sense in throwing it all out and know it could help others out. Igoingto be a busy beaver tomorrow calling around

Thankyou all for thhelp and suggstions

Why dont vinnies and salvos accept them?

Reminds me of when i had two perfectly good lounges to give away other than a small tear under one of them they were fine. They came and had a look at them but refused to take them i was gobsmacked. Even if they took them and sold them dirt cheap or even just gave them away to help a family in need.
