Default Hamilton island with 2.5 year old?

We are going to Hamilton Island for a week in July. Any tips of what we must see/do while ere? What should we take? Hoping to create some meals in the kitchenette so any tips on ingredients we should take are super welcome!

    Hi Rose,
I've been to H I a few times, DH and I were married there and our DD was almost 2 at the time. We've been back a couple of times with our children. We love it!
We usually do an online order from bi lo / Coles and have it delivered to us , I always ring the store first and they're helpful and help me with organising delivery etc. it's not expensive, quite economical when staying for a week or so, especially considering prices in the general store.
The bakery on the island is great, they have great "happy hour" specials late in the afternoon.
I'm sure you would know the mode of transport is golf buggy, this is always interesting with little ones.
The pools are glorious, don't forget pool toys, floatations devices for your little one.
We usually stay in an apartment in private accommodation so I'm not sure what the resort rooms are like.
    Have a great time :-)

    You lucky thing! Sounds wonderful!

We were in the Whitsundays earlier in the year, and our LO loved the Living Reef at Daydream Island (he was about 2yrs, 7 months at the time). He also adored the boat ride to and from there. So, if you fancy a day (or even half a day as Daydream is no where near as nice as Hamilton), this is highly recommended.

    Have a great time!

Thanks ladies! I'll be about 20w preg at the time, so they all sound doable with my growing belly too. Especially love the Coles and Daydream tips.
