Welcome Aimz. Wow get 8 embies is a very good number. Perhaps this is a sign for things to come!?
Butterfly yes the ups and downs are hard aren't they? Manflu is the worse and you have alot on your plate if you need to nurse dh back to health... Yes doing something good for yourself is a great idea!
Afm I got to thinking about my cycle and think that I have nothing to lose with going ahead with this cycle even though my ovulation has not been confirmed. I am taking the hormones I am supposed to take so we will see what comes from it all.
I am curious now to learn what other methods Dr's use when doing fet.
Also I didn't realise that estrogen and progesterone are taken together leading up to transfer!? I thought it would be progesterone only.
    Thoughts?

Ah that might be the difference. I've only had natural cycles, not medicated. Good luck to everyone currently cycling! I'm in the 2ww at the moment

Safam what is your diagnosed medical condition if any? Maybe I am being guided with hormones because i am pco....there is nothing wrong with dh's sperm count or morphology.
How far along in the 2ww are you?
Good luck for this cycle. I really hope you have some luck. :-)

Hi ladies I am waiting for AF to start (any day now) so we can do our FET. I am a but nervous as the last FET we did was unsuccessful. I believe it was unsuccessful as I have low AMH and often my levels of hormones are very low, I ovulate late, and I have low progesterone.

We are with a new doc who is going to put me on a low dosage of drugs to help stimulate the hormones but I am also worried that since I ovulate around day 17 my lining may be too thick for implantation?

Anyone's clinic do a scan to check the lining? Mine didn't and I thought it was strange given they also check in a natural cycle.

Hi nattie. Sorry you got a bfn but sounds positive that you are with a new Dr! I would think the lining would be a consideration and my Dr has me on estrogen leading up to my transfer as he says it will help thicken the lining. But I have to say I had always thought that needed to be done before ovulation.
Hope you have better success with your new Dr. It is important to feel comfortable with them. Keep us updated with your progress...

Ok so it makes sense now as to the methods the Dr uses for you with natural fet.
Playing the 2ww game isn't much fun. It will be interesting for me as I transfer on saturday then have two exams next Tuesday and Thursday. I hope this doesn't affect my chances. I will be trying to remain cool calm and collected.....no stress and lots of meditation! ;-)
As I mentioned earlier I will be getting acupuncture also.
Fingers crossed and lots of baby dust for you all.

Hey Nattie! Welcome to our little FET thread . I can understand your concerns ... It as all a bit of a head stuff up isn't it, analyzing all these details... Sometimes DH yells at me 'stop thinking you're going to drive yourself mad!'... Anyway they are legitimate concerns but I guess I'd ring the nurse about your fears and see what she says. Mine is pretty good like that.

I think in my scan they were expecting to see a heap of cysts and general rubbish given I'm doing this cycle back to back with a stimulated one, but were surprised to see that looked ok. So it wasn't all bad news.

Yes dragon they use estrogen and progesterone ... My fs told me there wasn't much evidence for the estrogen but they used it anyway....

Im just preparing myself mentally incase I get canned this cycle, by trying to decide my next move in the event of that. I'm not one that dwells on the past much, especially not past 'failures'... I usually focus on the future.

There have been quite a few successes in this forum of late. We will get there, girls.

I had a scan and a blood test yesterday and we are good to go for transfer on Monday. Fingers crossed!! I have also had blood tests and scans, they check the thickness of the lining and the size of the follicles. The blood test lets you know when you surge. The blood test I had on Monday have me a massive bruise looks like I've been in a fight. The natural cycle has been less stressful with no injections, crazy bloating or drugs. Only two blood tests and a scan then transfer. Then we wait... Good luck everyone, lets hope June is our month!!
