Hi Ladies I am trying to shop around for another clinic. I've had a feedback about Fertility North. I was wondering if anyone could give me some feed back on Concept and Fertility Specialists South and the FS they are seeing. Finding my current clinic very conservative and would like to find a clinic that isn't afraid to experiment. Anyone seeing Dr Natalwala at FN? Thoughts? I was hoping to see Dr Margo Norman at FN however she isn't taking any patients until March 2014. I've heard mixed reviews about Pivet. Any feedback would be appreciated. I'm really quite confused and lost with the whole switching clinics

Hi Butterfly78, I have a friend who is with FN so I will find out for you she just had her ER monday and ET will be tomorrow. I am with fertility specialists south, I find them pretty good there, we were seeing Dr C Nichols, nurses there are great, we are going back for another appt in a few wks for our next plan due to last IVF failing
I am so sorry for your loss and wish u the best of luck finding a new clinic u are happy with

Butterfly, Im seeing dr Natalwala at Fert North. Jay himself is great, nice and proactive. Nurses are generally pleasant, some need some tips on morning pleasantries. The clinic as a whole is ok but the admin side is painful to deal with, waiting lists are long and communication is minimal. The clinic only does 2/3 day transfers, most perth clinics do 5 days blasty so if thats something you want Fert North isnt for you. Also Ultrasounds are conducted offsite and can be hours after your BT (something Ive been told isnt common practice with other clinics)
I hope you find a clinic you are happy with.

these r some comments from a friend who goes to fert north - They are fantastic and I would thoroughly recommend them, my specialist was Dr Vince Chapple, love him and the dr who operated was Dr Gian Urbani also fantastic.
Nurses are great too.
Joondalup private hospital was impressive

Booboo, I've seen Dr Natalwala at Fert North as well, I found him pro-active too though I didn't end up getting any treatment there. Beign TTC for 2 years and know a few ladies at and via work who've had treatment. If you have top hospital medical cover, I'd highly recommend Dr Turner at Concept. He will only treat those with top cover but only charges what the cover is. Not something I qualify for but he has a universally good reputation. Dr Turner at Hollywood I've heard can be a bit abrasive. Other than Dr Turner at Concept, you will generally be treated as a number. Concept is more affordable as a clinic so they are incredibly busy. Pivet I've heard very mixed reports about and heard about none of their specialists particularly. They tend to charge a lot compared to other clinics. If you want particular treatments you may want to consider going interstate, sometimes even with the extra airfares it ends up being a very viable option.
I am number 150 on the list for donor embryos at Concept. If I end up moving to egg donation and find a donor (very possible) then the co-ordinator is happy to put me back at the top of the sperm donor waiting list which is currently at 18 months.
It seems I may be able to get my meds via an international pharmacy although it will cost me around $1200. Alternatively, a wonderful lady on here is going to try her doctor for me. It would be so nice if the Reproductive Technology Council helped us instead of hindering!
boo and everyone else, my best wishes for where you are at.

Ok Im hoping the ladies of BH Perth can help me out. I have EPU next week at Fert North and Im a preparation nazi. The clinic doesnt always provide me with all the info so I was hoping I could get a run down of what actually occurs at EPU from the patient POV and any tips and tricks for the whole process?
