    Thats awesome!! Congratulations!!

I signed up to that scheme but unfortunately in my town the NRAS houses/units are still $400/week. Im sure I read somewhere though that if you get an NRAS you dont qualify for any further housing assistance payments?

I thought you lost rental assistance if you went under the NRAS scheme?? Or is that government housing?

Ah okay... I just assumed you lost it. Seems like a double dip to me.

Rental assistance is based on the amount of rent u pay anyway, cheaper rental, less assistance.

We have just been approved to rent a NRAS home....now we are going to ask the owner if they want to do the scheme as the house we are in is only 1 yr old. Fingers crossed it works out for us

Yeah I'll get less rental assistance. But will still be eligible for some. Actually ill still get fairly close to the max. My rent is 25% less than market value. I guess it is kind of a double dip. I'm not knocking it back though. I'll accept any assistance available.

Ah okay... Seems great for low income earners.. Almost too good to be true! I'm sure lots of investors will be keen to jump on board too!
