I wore them when I worked in an office full of town planners. I had daily site visits around the countryside, so it was ok.
I wear them at the mine site in the office too. But I also wear steel cap office shoes and a polo shirt ... or shecksy hi-vis outfits with hard hats sometimes too.
I think it depends on the corporate setting. I think most offices it's a casual Friday thing unless it is more relaxed or creative. If in doubt, assume its not ok and then take the lead from those in the office.

I work for a very large organisation, but it is very free thinking. We can basically wear what we like within reason. I regularly wear jeans, but also dress up sometimes. Depends on my mood and which clothes are clean

I work in a coporate office but we can wear whatever we want as long as its not to revealing. If we have a client visit then we have to wear coporate but other wise it's not an issue.

I think there's a time and place for jeans, but it really annoys me when I see the young interns and RMO's at work treating patients in jeans. You're a doctor, look professional!!

I'm a secondary teacher in a public school most teachers wear jeans but dress them up with nice tops/ shoes etc. There are many days I wear black pants, dresses etc but I still love my dressy jeans.
We just can't wear shoe string singlets on hot days.

I work in an education setting & we are allowed to wear jeans, which is nice. No-one apart from the directors dress really corporate - mostly it's just jeans or work pants/skirt and a nice top.

For my dh's work his uniform includes black jeans . For me, in the corporate world where I meet clients when I'm at work, jeans would just not give the right impression, but seriously there are days when I'd love to turn up to work in trackies & a big warm jumper instead of a dress suit!
