weaning from formula to cows milk?

I did it at 10 months, I was a newly single mum and couldn't afford formula for the twins.
I started by watering it down half and half and gradually increasing the amount of milk.
I regret it now as I didn't realise they were LI and they had horrible blistered nappy rash. But once I changed to LF full cream milk they were fine.

I did it at around 12 months. I first tried cows milk on its own, but DS wasnt having it! I then tried mixing it with his formula, a little at a time say 50ml cows milk mixed with 150ml formula. I tried that for a couple of weeks, than if all went well, I added more cows milk (75ml cows milk- 125ml formula) and tried that for a few more weeks etc etc
All up, it took about 6 months for DS to drink only full cows milk.

I tried cows milk at 15 months when I started weaning BFing with our dd. She wouldn't touch the stuff. She would however take formula happily, so formula instead of BF's it was.
By 18 months I'd had enough of formula, so mixed formula & full cream milk for a couple of weeks before going to just full cream milk. She's fussy though and it must be warm. She will not drink milk directly from the fridge under any circumstances. Annoying.
