There are quite a few threads here if you search. You should talk your dh into a demo - it does help them to see it in action. My dh was sold after he saw how it grinds ice into sorbet and wheat into flour.

DH bought me one for Mother's Day. We're having a demo next week. I'm very excited about it. Can't wait for mine to arrive. DH is even willing to go to some classes to lean how to use it and this is from a man that struggles to cook toast! That In itself is worth the hefty price tag!!!

I just got one about a month ago, its seriously the best. You can get on 12 mth interest free til end of June I think.

I have been making all our bread in it, we've been going a bit overboard on sorbet and custard, make porridge in it every morning, lots of soups, CADA (one the latest 'it' things- apple, date, coconut and almonds), a couple of salads, cakes, muesli slice bars, a few yummy drinks, lasagne, pancakes, desserts.... the list goes on! I have also made the mushroom risotto a couple of times, and made arancini balls with the leftovers which were amazing!

TBH, I don't think I'll be making many 'full' meals in it, but cuts down preparation time heaps by making 'parts' of meals in it. I am hoping I can cut out most of our packaged food completely, I try not to buy packaged food, but things like coconut milk, tinned tomato, nut betters, emergency snacks for the kids, flours etc- I want to make all this from scratch.

Also I have a really good food processor, and a lot of these things you can do in the food processor, but I just didn't coz there are so many pieces to clean! It just seems easier (and its quicker) in the TM.

Can I ask you how long it takes for porridge?

The cleanibg is my thing too. I have a gadget that does most of the things a TM does but dont use them because they take up room and are FITA to clean
