I wish I could help you. It's a good sign he's eating again! And managed to keep it down I hope.

He is doing great. Recovering from everything. But now I'm sick. Threw up after breakfast. So he has been trying to get over a tummy bug and food issues just made it hit him hard. He is hydrated better but pulled out his nasel gastric tube this morning. So we are trying to get him to drink. They said if he has wet nappies all day we might get to go home tomorrow.

What a day. Today had been one thing after another.
I have never know a hospital to kick out a sick person.
But they did. At 2pm the doctor came in and said this is what needs to be done but you can do it at home. He was really nice about it and just a little cute. But still I got kicked out.
The nurses had been keeping clear all morning so I'm not sure if it's a bad thing.
We are home now. Still in isolation though they can't inforce it here. I will. If ds2 gets sick again at this point it will mean a feeding tube and a longer recovery. They asked me to pull him from daycare till we see the pead in 3 months. We are also to hold off on the fortini. He is not happy after it so I'm good with that.
He is so happy to be home. Gave the dog big talks through the windows. I am not letting him pat the dog yet. Not sure how long that can last.
Dh looked after ds2 for a few hours so I could sleep. Didn't.
He fell asleep to. No drink or any thing. Could have at least played with him.
Now dh has ****ed off back to his cave and left us to do the same thing we did at the hospital. Grr. At least Mil is helping add much as she can. She cleaned my house the day we left. It's so great. And she has had ds1 this whole time.
I miss normal life but that's out the window for a few months.

Big hugs DueInAugust. I thought I was having a bad time lately with it all but sounds like you're doing it tough. I hope you guys get through the next few months ok, sounds horrible. Lucky for your MIL, she sounds like a great support at such a tough time. Fingers crossed your DS is well as soon as. Keep strong and plodding along. xx

I have a saying that keeps me going at times like this.
"My problems are big to me but your problems are just as big to you."

I never think just because I'm having a hard time that anyone else can't be. It is life. It keeps going.

Just a quick update. The hospital have set up a nurse to visit us and keep an eye on ds2 for the weekend. Just one a day but it's good to have that reassurance. He is happy to be home. Dh is still being absent. Ds1 is home to now.
    I'm so tired!

Ds2 is not recovering from everything as we thought. We will be doing a bit more running around with specialists. Grr.
Why can't anyone tell me what is wrong with my baby!

Still no more news. We are back to the beginning of the whole mess again. He is constipated at the moment. On day 6 so far. I'm getting very annoyed with the peadeatric nurse. She didn't show up for any of our appointments last week or the week before. I just want the test results! He has put on .02 of a kg since leaving hospital. It's not good. He is easily tired and grumpy/clingy. Sleep is hit and miss. Dh and I are not even seeing each other for more than an hour a day. He is not helping at all just hiding in the garage or sleeping all day. I'm over it all. I just want to sleep in my own bed with my boys hugging me. Ds1 misses me terribly. His behaviour has gone right down hill in the last 2 months. I can't keep in his routine and he hates it. I'm lucky to get dinner by 8pm most nights.
    Grr vent over.
