    Default Light periods?

Hi ladies, since being on the pill on and off for the last decade or so, my periods are now a lot lighter than they used to be. I was used to and expecting that while on the pill but I've been off it now for 18 months (& TTC since Feb this year) and they're still light and short.

They used to last at least 5 days, and were quite heavy for the first 2. Now I only have one day that is what I would call "moderate" flow and another 2-3 days of light flow.

Anyone else had a similar experience? I'm worried that I'm not making enough lining & that might make implantation difficult. Any advice? BTW I'm 34, and really hoping I haven't left it too late!!

Thanks CitrusRain! I went out and bought some vitex today in my lunch break - fingers crossed it works for me, too ☺

I've also got an appointment with my naturopath in a couple of weeks, so I'll ask her opinion then as well.

Good luck Little Ted! Hope you get some useful info from your FS.

Must say, I'm glad I'm not alone in this, although I wish all of us had our BFPs already!!

Hi ladies, I went to my naturopath this afternoon, and she's put me on some herbs to see if, in her words, "we can get a good bleed". She didn't think it was overly concerning, but, as she explained, there's not necessarily just one reason why ppl don't get pregnant - it's most likely a combination of a number of different things. So fixing this might not fix everything, but it's a step in the right direction!

I'm only on cycle 5 of TTC so we don't even know if there's a problem yet, but I figure there's no harm in making sure everything is optimal

She's got me taking CoQ10 (good for egg quality), Fish oil, a pre-natal multi vitamin, folinic acid, vitamin D and a herbal tonic that includes Dong Quai, Nettle, Skatavaria, Siberian Ginseng and Sarsparilla. Some of the herbs in the tonic are for my skin as well, as I've got excema/psoriosis issues.

I just had my first dose of the herbs, and, although it tasted a bit gross, it really felt warm and like it was doing me good straight away! I hope they work!

How did you go with your appointment, Little Ted?

My new FS said if I had irregular cycles as well he'd be concerned but since I'm like clockwork he doesn't think its an issue. He said the best way to know is to do a mid cycle scan so that's what he's going to do
