Thanks ladies that's reassuring to know that it's certainly an option. The thought of the catheter/canular left in my back freaks me out a little so I was hoping spinal only was an option and seems like it is and a decent one.
With my last CS I was under a GA and had the self administering IV meds but used them for under 24 hours, so if I replace the GA with the spinal that should work.
I'm not actually pregnant, just these things go through my mind! I had a very traumatic experience with my first and I think I need to have all of these things sorted in my mind before I can even think about going back for the next baby.
I've been told (only by one OB and not a high risk specialist) that I will need a repeat CS and may not be able to go above 36 weeks due to uterine scar positioning,
