I was just reading the safety manual of my VW and it has a section about how to install a car seat using both ISOFIX and top tether at the same time.
Is that even possible?
I thought that any seat purchased overseas with ISOFIX would not have a top tether, and any Australian seat would not have ISOFIX? Or can you purchase a seat in aus with both?
(I am aware that ISOFIX on its own is not legal in Australia yet)

I just searched 'isofix Australia' in google and the first page was from babyology and it said in Australia you will need to use both to meet standards once approved. So I guess seats brought in will have to have both.

Ahh ok. So any overseas seats still won't be legal in Australia, how convenient!
