I have been planning on encapsulating my placenta and taking the pills in the months after bub is born, but there are only two doulas that I can find in Melbourne who provide the service - and both charge $400, including collection from my hospital. Would be $350 if I had someone to take the placenta to them, but I don't.
I have heard good things about it, mostly from websites advocating the process, but as I finished working a few weeks ago and DH and I don't qualify for PPL or the Baby Bonus, it is hard to justify spending $400 on something like it.
Does anybody have any experiences you can share? Did it help your BM supply? Did it help with PND?
