    Default Absent Minded Mummy Moments

I just took my DS for a walk. I got halfway down the street before realising I was pushing an empty stroller and my son was still playing in his crib in the house I had just locked up...

Please tell me your absent-minded moments so that I don't feel so bad!

Lol. That is so funny I am still laughing !! Don't feel bad, I am constantly turning around in the car to check if my children are both there and have a minor panic until i lay eyes on them. I will not be surprised if one day I turn and either one or both are missing!!! We just have so much on our mind when we are leaving the house. Thanks for sharing.

    Sorry that's funny

I had a friend who just had her 3rd child
After a long day jumped in the car to pick the older 2 up from school got to the end of the street and realized the baby was still asleep in his cot

I can't think of any I have done at the moment but I'm sure I have had a few too many

Oh OP, I so appreciated that post! There are soo many moments - mixing up lunch boxes and having to drive all over town to correct them is a recent one. Having to ring back specialist several times because I can't count. Forgetting kids clothes when they have swim lesson - thankfully I have a spare set of clothes in car.

I once went to pick up DS from his grandmother's ... after a chat, a cup of tea and a Tim Tam, I started out the door. Sans baby. My mum was kinda just watching me as I wandered down the front path and waved goodbye.

Haha so funny! I often check the baby seat in the car to check ds is there.
Sometimes after a night shift drivibg home I check if he is there and he isn't of course
And then sometimes I feel like I'm alone in the car and catch his eyes in my mirror in the car and slightly jump out if my skin!!

I've lost track of the amount of times I've been singing or chatting to DD as I walk along pushing the trolley - only she's not in there. She's usually at home with her dad!!

I put a tea bag in the dishwasher instead of a tablet.

Put lime cordial into a casserole I was making instead of olive oil (my lovely DH ate it anyway and said it was delicious )

I have forgotten to pack dd1's lunch for school. Twice.

Locked myself out of the house with dd1 still inside when she was a newborn.

Let dd1 and my nephew play in my car when they were toddlers and forgot I left a bottle of multivitamins in there that they got into. all was fine. Very important lesson learned.

Forgotten it was early closing at school, hence was half an hour late picking dd1 up from school several times.

Forgotten to send excursion money to school in time.

Sent a bath mat instead of a towel to swimming lessons. It looked the same and was in a rush at the time.

    Feeling better yet?
