    Default 12 week NT ultrasound, really bad numbers? downs 1:2

    DownSyndrome 1:2
    edward syndrome 1:78

    After 4 yr of trying, successful pregnancy now this? I am 44. this is so difficult,

    I am beyond worried.

    I'm so sorry you are going through this. Are you going to have a CVS or amnio to find out for sure? Was your result based on the scan measurements?

    Hi OP. sorry to hear about your results. We also had bad results (we found out just days before our wedding). We were recommended an amnio as our results were so bad and they rushed through the results as it was over Easter. Thankfully they came back clear and we now have a beautiful 7.5 month old DD. fingers crossed that you receive the same. All the best.

    What a stressful time. We have just been blessed with a beautiful Down syndrome niece who also had 1:2 chance.

    My sister in law chose not to have the tests to be sure as she was continuing with the pregnancy no matter what. I'm not sure what I would do faced in that situation though.

    My little niece is doing great, fully breast feeds, holds her head up & moves around @ only 4 months.
