Hi all. Today we had our scan, 1 week early due to a heavy bleed this morning. Results were great, length 9mm, heartbeat 148 (got to hear it very briefly) and yolk sac perfect. Bleeding is unexplained and continues on and off so still feeling anxious. Have another scan in 1 week, fingers crossed it is more good news.
Stressful stressful yet amazing day....

Fantastic news Tommi, sorry to hear you've been bleeding (believe me, I understand how stressed you are!), lets hope it's just a random unexplained bleed and is soon a distant memory in an otherwise uneventful pregnancy!

Thank you everyone. Today i am ok, still have some spotting but old blood so trying not to get concerned plus I was nauseas all morning too which I hear is also a good sign. Yesterday was our first ever scan, under stressful circumstances but didnt detract from seeing that little heart beating away, such an amazing moment. The Dr has said that all signs show a perfectly healthy pregnancy so fingers crossed and he did also say that it can be normal to have bleeding during pregnancy so fingers crossed that both myself and Pilbara are this type of "normal".
only 6 more sleeps until our next scan when we get to see our little embryo again.
Kelly, we have told close family, close friends and I had to (due to yesterdays complications and needing to take it easy over the next 10 days) tell my boss. Anyone who my husband and I feel comfortable telling if i have a loss knows. There is some immediate famiy on my husbands side we have not yet told and some friends for that reason, we will announce July 12 when we are 12 weeks and whatever comes from then on comes. I just really want to get to July 12 witstill pregnant.

Congrats on the great scan Tommi! Good to hear the bleeding has stopped.
How are you doing Pilbara? I've got everything crossed that it's nothing.
Kelly- yup I'm FEELING this pregnancy. Morning sickness is more like all day sickness starting at 4am. However I know that it gets better for me around 12-13 weeks. I am constantly tired too.
We have only told one or two people. My DHs boss worked it out and I've told one close friend. We've opted not to tell anyone else until after the next scan when we can hear the heartbeat (8 weeks 5 days). I would have waited until 10 weeks when you normally see your OB but I can't get in to him until 12 weeks. I feel really bad about not telling my Mum but the last pregnancy we told my parents around 6 weeks and my Mum went and told everyone. When we miscarried it was devastating. I made my Mum tell everyone that we lost the baby. Then you get all the pity emails. I wasn't up for it then. Long story short I learned my lesson and won't tell my parents until I'm ready for everyone to know.
