Hi ladies, I think I just need some reassurance. I'm 6+2 and have hardly any symptoms. I thought yesterday that I felt a bit off but now I'm thinking it was all in my head. I woke up this morning and had some dark blood mixed in with the progesterone (sorry for TMI) which i completely freaked out about. Has anyone else had this happen? I rang the nurse and she told me not to stress as its probably just old blood or something. She also said there wasn't really anything I could do and to just sit tight until the scan next week. Easier said than done.
Any advice would be much appreciated ladies 😄

Tommi only just read your note. Thanks and hope it all works out for you too and you don't need it.
If anyone needs info on MaterniT21 the national representative Eileen Butler was so lovely and helpful. Nothing to much trouble. Her number is 0447064594.
I will be sure to let you know not just the outcom er but how the whole process, timeframe etc ends up going.
Oh and price in wa was $1250. Collection only available at 4 places 3 mornings a week.

Try not to panic, I had gushes (big gushes) of blood at around 5 weeks, and then bled until 8 weeks... It turned out to be a blood clot in my uterus unrelated to the baby. With my DD I had a couple of smears of pink blood early on. My clinic told me that 50% of pregnancies have 1st trimester bleeding. It's hard to wait until the scan, but I think no need to panic unless there is a lot of red blood AND cramping as well... Also, don't panic about the lack of symptoms, lots of ladies have no symptoms at that stage...

Hi kd, like Pilbara I had bleeding. It happened at 6+6 weeks. It was quite heavy and completely freaked me out. I had a scan that day and all was well and a week later it had stopped completely and petri was still going strong. They could not determine why it occurred but said it was quite common. Unfortunately there is nothing at this point that you can do, I was told due to unexplained cause to take it easy for a week or so. Maybe you could ask your clinic for an early scan. I had one due to the bleed on that day and it was really reassuring. Hang in there. Thinking of you.

KD bleeding of any kind is stressful at this stage, but as the others have said it is totally normal, and can mean nothing. I didn't have any bleeding, but at my 7wk scan the lady told me that I had a little sac thing of blood in there, away from the baby, but if that I bled, it was probably just that sac of blood coming out. She said something like because the baby doesn't take up much space as yet, there can still be blood in your uterus and as the baby grows and the space gets smaller, the blood comes out (that's real laymans terms lol), but she said not to ignore it, but chances are its nothing to worry about. Sadly, there is nothing you can do about it at this stage, which doesn't help at all!! I also had no notable symptoms until a couple of weeks ago, and they weren't much really, just a general grotty feeling and going off food, and I am now 12 weeks and still going strong. Symptoms are different for everyone, so don't worry too much about them xx
GOOD LUCK Maria! Hope all goes well today
Sariele i hope you get to see some lovely pics of your little baby developing, good luck to you as well
Sunshine I think you made a good decision. I am sure they will come back fine, particularly if the NT measurement was low that tends to be a good indication, and the bloods are an added reassurance. That's a lot of money for BT's but hey, we have spent a ****load of money on IVF already, what's a bit more for total peace of mind! And I find it amazing that they can get such good results from a comprehensive BT. Will be thinking of you over the next 10 days
